ImageAn alleged kidnapping complicates the life of the Malaysian premier, UMNO and the country's royalty

It may well have been Najib Tun Razak's worst nightmare. On his first state trip abroad, Malaysia's new prime minister had gone to Indonesia to discuss such weighty matters as bilateral cooperation on energy, trade, defense, agriculture and the thousands of illegal Indonesian migrants that Malaysia has been trying to send home.

Instead, Najib was beseiged at a joint press conference with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono with a story that has been burning up the newspapers, wires, gossip magazines, the internet and jungle telegraph. Legions of reporters from both Malaysia and Indonesia demanded to know what he knew about the alleged kidnapping of a beautiful Indonesian-American model, Manohara Odelia Pinot and when he knew it. Najib was forced to answer that he had no comment.

At about the same time he was meeting with Yudhoyono, Daisy Fajarina, the mother of the missing model, held a hysterical press conference at the National Comission on Violence Against Women in Jakarta to sob that Malaysian authorities had stopped her from visiting the country to check on her daughter's condition, and to say that Manohara had met Tengku Temenggong Muhammad Fakhry, the Kelantan* crown prince, at a gala dinner in Kuala Lumpur put on by Najib when Manohara was only 14. Then she fainted.

To Malaysia's indefatigable bloggers, that has called up more than two years of allegations that Najib, as deputy prime minister, had been involved in the gruesome murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu, a then-28-year Mongolian translator and jilted lover of his best friend, political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda. Like Altantuya, Manohara was a jet-setting beauty, rated one of Indonesia's 100 most precious women by Harper's Bazaar Magazine at the age of 15.

Although Baginda was freed earlier this year by a high court under questionable circumstances, two of Najib's bodyguards were sentenced to death last month for the slaying, for which one of the two said they had been promised RM50,000 to RTM100,000. In a cautioned statement, the convicted murderer also said it was Mohd Musa Safri, Najib's chief of staff, who sent them to pick up Altantuya and two of her friends. No attempt was made in court to ask who had offered to pay the two policemen to kill her.

The murder suggested the involvement of higher authorities. Evidence that Altantuya and her two companions had ever entered the country had disappeared, according to testimony at the trial of the killers. No attempt was made by the prosecution, the defense or the judge to ask why. One of Altantuya's friends also testified that she had seen photographs of Baginda, the then-deputy prime minister and Altantuya together. Both the prosecution and the defense leapt to their feet to ask that the comment be stricken from the record.

Gutter Journalsim or a malaysian in denial?
written by Vendargon , April 30, 2009
If Noblehouse idea is to work-ie diversity! then the NEP should be removed, quotas from universitys removed, the Malay clooege, MARA should be closed, there must be a new judiciary, attorney general, disband UMNO,MIC,MCA etc....can this happen, so that we can have a multiracial society.

How can we trust a government that has a PM who is implicated in corruption, let alone a murder.where is the investigation of this and why are the public not informed whether najb has received the hundreds of millions of dollars from the French company. Why is the US not moving with prosecution under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act-surely this French compnay has accounts in the US banking system

Why Najib and UMNO wont succeed in Malaysia.
written by Jack the Ripper , April 29, 2009
No Malaysian that is morally and religiously inclined (and there are many
Muslims,Buddhists,Christians,Hindus and others who believe in good against evil) cannot and will not accept that a Prime Minister that refuses to honor the Rule of Law that is required as a pre-condition to a democracy .Mr Najib Razak has sought it fit to place himself above the law.

How can he then expect the man on the street to do the same or respect him as the leader of the country. Are there two rules:-one for the PM & Umno Putras and another for the young man facing a 39B Dangerous Drug Trial, arrested under the ISA and later charged for trafficking, with no jury, heard by a single judge with no discretion but to impose the death penalty when the burdern of proof is revered from that of a presumption of guilt to innocent. In the latter case-there is no murder.

What can the PM tell this young man who is put to death with a wrong structured system of law.Can he refuse to be tried or face up to the allegations like Najib Tun Razak?

As for UMNO, the whole membership is guilty of colluding with the party leadership in covering up the corruption allegations and the murder-this is insane! Can you believe that when you abett the offence UMNO is also guilty of fraud, dishonesty and deceit. This is shameful to the Malays,Chinese and the Indians. What is worse is the attempt to hide this by suggesting that Malays be united.United to cover up a murder? That will never happen in the Malay community.

For those reasons, UMNO ( and every member in it) and Najib Tun Razak will have NO CREDIBILITY eith internationally or domestically until he clears up these allegations of corruption and murder. If he was so innocent, lets get a senior retired criminal judge(s) like Justice Azmi, Sheikh Daud and Edgar Joseph to sit and hear the allegations in an open inquest. Shame on the Malaysian Government and every Minister/deputy and the whole machinery of the Malaysian government who is involved in this fraud on the Malaysian people!

Hold your reins !
written by Son of Odhin , April 24, 2009
Guys..guys...Remember..The Sultan and his royal family are above everyone and everything. This will be just another storm in the tea cup as far Malaysians are concerned. They are so superior that they cant do no wrong or that what Malaysian are made to believe. A couple of dumb NGO's today has lodged a police report against 2 fellow bloggers and requested that licences be suspended and the persons involved are banished from Malaysia for good. As long there are lap dogs like these NGO's going around barking madly and blindly in support of these royal families, these kind of incidents will continue to take place. The funny part was...the NGO representatives who was barking " HIdup Melayu" which literally can be translated as "Long Live Malay" after lodging the police report, does not look like Malays at all...not even a bit. They are what you call "Mamak's", Indian Muslims from India. More malay than the malays i say...This kind of behavior is worse than prostituting yourself. There have been so many unreported incidents such as this which involves the high and mighty in Malaysia which has gone unreported and it will remain so after this, as long the parasites sitting on the throne, eating and jetting around the world with the tax payers money continue to be the puppet of the ruling government. The one proverb they follow diligently is " Never bite the hand that feeds you.." but too bad the hand thats feeding them is also the hand thats collecting our taxes . SO..be prepared for more of such news coming to light...and rest assured..nothing is gonna change these power-crazed-lustful-holier-than-thou-good-for-nothing royal asses.

welcome,fellow pirates
written by captain morgan , April 24, 2009
Welcome to ye all, pirates of Malaysia. Your crimes against everybody pleases me no end. In fact these acts of atrocities you all have commited make me jealous of ye all. Never you mind - I am not angry or unpleased. In fact I want to invite you all to be my mates. Then we can go plundering around the region. Now the 2 casinos are coming up, we can start there. There will be opportunities galore. We can kidnap girls, rape them, blow them up and everyone elso who tries to stop us. Best of all we can all hide in your country within the palace walls where the police will be powerless to stop us. Wow, this is better than my useless brigands from England. Yu bastards are immune from prosecution. Methinks we can use a Malaysian navy ship and carry out our acts of piracy against all the good boys - mother f**king boys! Ha! with 9 sultans - murderous bastards - and their evil offsprings we will be better than these undernourished Somalis. The UMNO Putras and their bastard sons can also join us. I have heard about them too, e.g. Nazri's son being a murderer, the son of the Chairman of Proton being a drug dealer, the son of A.Krishnan also in the drug business! Wow, I am glad I have lived so long to reap the rewards of my long life. Thank God for giving me this long life, thank god for bringing me all these bastards and murderers. God,I will not fail you this time. We will turn the whole area upside down. That big bastard OBAMA is asking for CHANGE. WE will give CHANGE to this region. All hail the new rulers of ASEAN - Captain Morgan and his new crew of Bastards, Rapists and Murderers. Kneel! All of you!
