Don't make with us or not with us. It is more bias when so-called international media wants Myanmar media sided with them.
It is the issue of national security concern and future survival of the Rakhine nation. The is no such Rohingya people in Rakhine and in Burma. Raknie and Burman will never be accepted forceful intimidation. Different nation deals with their national security. US does it by its own culture so as Israel. Rakhine and Burma are not exception. To make it fair, national security is above all aliened wishful enforcements. written by abid bahar, July 10, 2012
Contrary to the Xenophobic Burmese claims that Rohingyas are the illegal immigrants from Chittagonian Bengali stock, please read the following research article to see how due to the continuous Burmese invasions in Arakan, Chakmas, Marmas, Rakhines and other tribes of Arakan and Rohingya settlements developed in Chittagong and in Chittagong Hill Tracts.
------------- Burmese invasion of Arakan and the Rise of non Bengali Settlements in Chittagong and Chittagong Hill Tracts Abid Bahar Link: http://danyawadi.wordpress.com...angladesh/ Arakan was a medieval kingdom located at the edge of South Asia became a province of Burma after the Burmese invasion in 1784 and the subsequent annexation of it with Burma. To the people of India and Bangladesh, Arakan became sadly memorable for the tragic massacre of the Moghul prince Shah Suja and his entire family by the Arakanese king Sandathudamma. It is important to note that Shah Suja before taking shelter in Arakan was the Moghul Govornor of Bengal (1639-60) and was being chased by the Moghal General Mir Jumbla. Suja was given the assurance of assylum by the Arakanese Mogh king. However, soon after his arrival in Arakan, Suja was robbed and then in 1661 at the order of the king the entire family was massacred. This tragic event triggered anger and frustration both in Arakan among Suja’s followers that accompanied him and also in the Moghul capital Delhi against the brutal murder of the royal family. Subsequent to the death of Shah Suja, the Moghals led a campaign led by Shah Suja’s uncle Shaista Khan who reconquered Chittagong. After the massacre of the Moghul prince and the chain of events of repeated uprising led to internal chaos in Arakan. At the same time, with the mighty Moghul presence in the Bay, Arakan lost its lucrative revenue from piracy and of slave trade. The new circumstances brought an end to the infamous Golden of Arakan that survived through causing human suffering and misery. In our contemporary period the event of Suja and the massacre of his family is not the reason why understanding the dynamics of ethnic relations in Arakan and by extention in Burma becomes so central; it is largely to watchfully understand the roots of racism in Arakan and to recognize the refugee production trends of the region. Indeed, Alamgir Serajuddin expresses rather bluntly the reasons behind the Arakan problem by saying, “The Arakanese [Rakhines] were a daring and turbulent people, a terror at once to themselves and to their neighbours. They fought among themselves and changed masters at will. Peace at home under a strong ruler signaled danger for neighbours.” (1) True, Arakan a kingdom based essentially on slave trade when it had strong leader was a constant threat to its neighbors for its robbers but taking advantage of the internal chaos there led the Burmese occupation of Arakan and the subsequent neglect under the Burmese rule and the continued Burmese annexation of the Arakani territory subsequently turned Arakan into a tiny and backward province of Burma-no doubt it is the price of being disorderly. Despite its present improvised existence, Arakan continued to make headlines in the international media not for any glorious present but for producing refugees. The people that have been exterminated are no more the Moghs but are the Rohingyas of northern Arakan. They complain that Rakhine hoodlums along with the Burmese military are involved in a war of intimidation against them. Rohingyas have been taking shelter in Southern Chittagong. Burmese Military government and their Mogh collaborators claim that these refugees are “Chittagongnian people” originally from Bangladesh. Contrary to the claim, surprisingly even the more recent, the 1978 Rohingya refugees were found to carry Burmese National Registration cards. (2) But in the 1991-92s there was the fresh eviction of refugees, the latter Rohingyas arrived in Bangladesh without the NRC cards. Rohingya leaders claim that the NRCs were being confiscated before the eviction. You mentioned, "The Dhaka-based Narinjara news has been crucial in the anti-Rohingya campaign."
Did you check Narinjara web page on June 8? Its webpage was idle for a few days during the crisis. A lot of Burmese are very critical of that news webpage. Does the author of the article know why? Because Bengali (aka Rohingya) terrorist sent a dead threat to its small news agency. Get your facts right. Don't be biased against Burmese and Rakhine. Shame on you. Please don't tell me you mean that Narinjara has been involving in this anti-"Rohingya" campaign. Check your Kaladan Press. They are trying to provoke religious conflict between Buddhists and Muslims using fake and doctored pictures. I am amazed how biased the author of this article is. What did Burma do to you to deserve this? written by kit-kit, July 11, 2012
As far as I know, Rohingyas did not live in Burma until Burma was fully absorbed into british empire and a huge flux of immigrants from India and Bengla followed.Unlike ethnic shans, kareans, kachins, chin, mon, rakhine ,and kayah who have been living in what is now modern Burma since many many years ago. Rohingys are recent immigrants from bengla. Unless they can prove that they can integrate, have respect for burmese and minorities, have respect for National Religion Buddhism, I don't see a reason why they should be granted citizenship. and this has nothing to do with supporting military. I can dislike both military and bengla terrorists at the same time. get your facts right before labelling us as ultra-nationalists. be sympathetic, how would u react if your country is on the verge of being overrun by extremists who dream of governing your country with radical beliefs?

We are happily waiting to see a democratic government in Myanmar. Unfortunately, our own people are trying to stop democratic process. We are proud of our national hero Aung San ans his daughter, Daw Aung San Su kyi. In Rakhine State, there are many types of people, among them original Rakhine, Muslims and Awakyunetha are very important. We call Awakyunetha those Rakhines who recently came into Rakhine state from Bangladesh like Dr.Aye Maung. These Awakyunetha do not have any human mentality even they got Phd degree like Dr.Aye Chan and Dr. Aye Kyaw. When I was studying in Sittwe Degree College, some of the students tried to start a reform movement in Myanmar, some of them were arrested before they could start , everyone's target was to protest against dictator but Awakyunethas' target was different. In mid academic year of 1984-85, Awakyunetha students organized a plan to drive all Muslims out of our College, at mid night when Muslims students were sleeping in their rooms of Hostel, the Awakyunetha broke their rooms’ door and beat severely . Saya Tha Zan Maung informed rector and he called police but police said Muslims shouldn’t stay in hostel. Next day morning, no Muslims could attend the school. Saya Tha Zan Maung and Saya Saw Aung gave lectures regarding about human value. Both teachers were Buddhists but they didn’t like Awakyunethas’ attitude toward Muslims. From that day I became a good Rakhine and hate Awakyunethas’ idea. Nowadays, everyone in Myanmar is waiting to see the fruit of democracy but Awakyunetha want to destroy democratic process and insult our National pride, Daw Aung San Su Kyi. If we can’t stop increasing Awakyunethas’ power in Rakhine State, nobody can do peace and democracy in our country . Many Awakyunetha refuge in the monasteries in order to deviate from reality and to do bad things. Awankyunethas population increase up to 40% in Rakhine State. They are enemy of Buddhism and Democracy.

Hi Dear
I feel very appreciate Thailand when I see how the bad racist manner of our country people on the migrant people in our country that called Myanmar. About 3 million of our Myanmar migrant people are in Thailand. Generally Thailand government and society try to accepted us and try to give equal rights. Never announce as we are intruder our the enemy of their national. Yes some bad thing may be still happen in some bad people area. Yes the bad thing are only happen in the Thai bad people empire and it is different from us. Because the bad racist manner and idealism are no need to find in the bad people in our land because you can easily see anywhere in the normal people. We growing up under the doctrine to hate other nation for the purpose of "National Unity". Now it is return again. By this bad manner that produce by decade long doctrine has become our nature. We fight each other again when we don't have any foreign nation to point as an common enemy. We always look different colors as our enemy. I am not sure Aung San Suu Kyi might able to fix this. We think we don't need to respect International Law and Rule. We are proud to be racist and we call it Nationalism. Finally I am thinking about what will happen if Thailand have the same manner like us on other Nation. Thai patriotic employer will not accept migrant workers and Thai workers and citizen drive out us from their country as we are intruder and enemy of their nation. Tell me what you think but I can tell you that I will never by the side of racist and never fear to against. written by ANDREW PHILIPS, July 11, 2012
After taking everything into consideration, I have come to the following conclusion. And this is the bitter truth whether or not one agrees to me.
As of today, many Burmese societies will be willing to accept a Mongolian or a Korean as one of their citizens because they look like them. It doesn't really matter for them for how long they have been living in Myanmar (1 months, 2 months, 3 months or one year). If he or she is a Buddhist, the more chances he or she has to be accepted as Burmese citizen. But South-Asian descends like Rohingyas will not be accepted as their citizens no matter how long they have been living there (50 years, a century, 2 centuries and so on). Because they look different to them. As of today, to be a Burmese citizen, one must look like them or to be from Mongoloid race. Worse, Rohingyas practice a different religion. So, there is no chance for them to be accepted as its citizens. I agree to the statement of Mr. Mark Farmaner from Free Burma Campaign "Anti-Muslim prejudice is endemic in Burmese society and derogatory comments about Muslims are so commonplace. It is quite shocking." They believe in racial purification like Nazis did. I have seen in some of their comments that they even demand to check the DNAs of Rohingyas to be able to decide whether they are Burmese citizens or not, exactly like what Nazis did to confirm whether one was of Aryan race or not. What has DNA to do with citizenship? I wonder how these same people can come to Europe, US, Canada, Australia etc and shamelessly demand asylums or citizenship within three to four years at a time when they don't want recognize a people as their citizens, who have been living there at least for a century (here I don't refer to all Burmese but those Xenophobic Burmese)!!!! Truth shall prevail and those people who are shamelessly defending the crimes against humanity will have no place to hide!!!! written by Ne Myo Win, July 11, 2012
1) Indo-Arayan people have been living in Arakan since B.C. 3323 according to the book with the title “Za Lok Kay Pho Lay?” (written by San Kyaw Tuan, (Maha Wizza), a Rakhine from Rathedaung, foreworded by the late Dr. Aye Kyaw and contributed by scholars like Dr. Aye Chan, Khin Maung Saw) page No. 81]. Who were these Indo-Aryans? Were not they forefathers of the people called Rohingya today? Are Rakhines descendants of Indo-Aryan race? In which group of human stocks did Rakhines fall, Indo-Aryan or Mongoloid?
2) I have learnt that during British Colonial period, migration from one place to another (within its colonised countries) was absolutely legal. Therefore, some members of Rohingyas might be immigrants but not illegal ones. Therefore, how can someone call them illegal immigrants as a whole? 3) At the same time, one has to apply the same logic to the Rakhines as well. They also migrated from one place another during British time and it can't be denied. And they are living both sides of the countries, Burma and Bangladesh. If they (the same Rakhines) can be citizens of both countries, why can't Rohingyas be citizen of Burma? Why?????????? 4) During the time of the agreement between Aung San and Aktle, he (Aung San) promised that he would recognize everyone as citizen of Burma who were living within its territory. How can someone today revoke Aung San's agreement? 5) Besides, one should not forget that Chittagong region of Bangladesh and Arakan of Myanmar were combined and one land used to rule by the same rulers. It is not strange if one finds similarities among the people of Arakan and Chittagong region. Besides the people called Rohingyas, Chakmas (Thaks) and Baruas also speak a Chittagonian dialect and similar cultures with the people of Chittagong. How could you (our honorable historian Dr. Aye Chan) deliberately and conveniently leave it out in your speeches and books while you point out the similarities between Rohingyas and Chittagonians? 6) British has recorded Muslims in Arakan as Chittagonians. So, in everyone's opinion, this is the rightest term Biritish used for Muslims in Arakan. So, British's records are most correct. If so, what term did the British use for Buddhists in Arakan? Rakhine? Obviously not! If yes, is there any evidence for the fact that British refered the Buddhists in Arakan as Rakhines? British are right and honest because they refered Muslims in Arakan as Chittagonians. The same British are wrong and dis-honest because they refered Buddists in Arakan as Maghs. Why double standards? written by shaimaa said, July 11, 2012

So, you are responsible journalist and news media putting blames on the irresponsible medias and journalists. You mentioned yourself as a Burmese freelance reporter in Myanmar. As a responsible reporter, you should come up with the balanced reports based on the facts and evidences about what sparked the riots and how many Muslim Rohingya and Buddhist Arakanese were killed and how many were displaced by the riots and how the survivors of those riots are living on their lives. The irresponsible reporters of the irresponsible news medias risked their lives during the riots for their reports about the terrified situations. But where were you and your responsible media when such incidents were taking place. What were you doing then? Did you afraid of being killed in those riots? and finding faults with the reports braved by those irresponsible reporters? When you are blaming the irresponsible reporters and news medias on their biased reports, you still are unable to show us any balanced reports about the riots. It is easier to blame others than to work yourself. We are sure you have not done any field works and homework about the riots. But what you have done now is just your masterpiece of blaming others. Still there are a lot of problems facing the peoples, the survivors. Don't be afraid! Go yourself and study the situations in Arakan State. We are expecting to read your balanced fair reports from the fields. Be responsible journalist and news media!

Let's put that way. It is clearly that this article writer is more bias than any other media in Burma. He even blamed Narinjara news agency while he left out all so-called Rohingya media, blogs, webpages, and e-mail circulating Muslim people and the western by posting the fail news, unfounded facts, fabrication, lies, and all malice to incite the violent attacks on the Rakhine people.
To be fair, it will be good if this author go to Rakhine State and investigate how many recent immigrants are rooming in it and then report his discovery to the world. And even thought over 500,000 recent immigrants in the past two decades while dictator Than Shwe was in the power and at the present live in the Rakhine State, I have not seen a single case to try the the illegal immigrant in the court. Why and how? when you talk about the balance you should give us how many illegal immigrants are in the detention centers in USA and England. Then we can talk about the balance. written by Aung Aung, July 12, 2012

No one knows about Myanmar except Myanmar people. How many times did You, foreign media, come and interview Myanmar people during the conflict of Local Rakhine and Rohinga? How long did You study about Myanmar and which books did You refer that "Rohinga have existed in the area for hundreds of years"? I want to say again that no one knows about Myanmar except Myanmar people. Almost all of Myanmar believe that The Weekly Eleven and most of the media in Myanmar are the mirrors reflecting the voice and hope of Myanmar people. They, domestic media, updated the news 5 to 10 min interval not only in the conflict of Rakhine and Rohinga but also in the election holding a few months ago in which NLD party had taken part. Exile media are afraid of Donors and if they write the articles opposing to Roghinga, they(Donors) will terminate their donation. This is very easy to think and so people saying they are beggar.
So they, like Aung Zaw, try to hide the real situation in Myanmar even though they are Myanmar. written by abid bahar, July 14, 2012
Religiously Motivated Racism and the Ongoing Rohingya Genocide in Burma
Abid Bahar Link: http://danyawadi.wordpress.com/2012/07/07/religiously-motivated-racism-and-the-ongoing-rohingya-genocide-in-burma/ Arakan is the Western most province of Burma. Historically, it has developed two major solitudes, Rakhine and the Rohingya. However, not known to the outside world that most Rakhines are a religiously motivated race conscious people. This is evident in their chosen word ‘Rakhine’ or ‘Rakskhine’ understood to have originated from the Pali word Rakhapura meaning the land of the people of Rakshasa (Rakshasa >demon) > Rakkha > Rakkhaing>Rakhaing> Rakhine).” Different from this, Rakhines however were known in history as the Arakanese or the Moghs. But from the 30′s they have adopted the present ethnocentric name meant to “the preservation of their national heritage (a myo) and ethics (sila).” This whole idea in this ultra nationalist argument is about saving the land from the supposed “intruders.” This is repeatedly explained by the xenophobic Rakhine leaders to their fellow Rakhines using a symbolic demon like figure of an imaginary assassin man sitting in a tongi (theachet quarter almost hiding) with a knife to kill somebody, the “foreigner”. This somebody is the non Rakhine, non Buddhist person in Arakan. This “intruder” “enemy” is no other person than the Rohingya living next door. With this understanding, Rakhine leader Aye Kyaw (on record confessed) successfully motivated the Burmese military leader Ne win to deprive Rohingyas their Burmese citizenship. This was done by a constitutional Act in 1982. Aye Kyaw ( now deceased), Aye Chan and Ashin Nayaka (a monk) evidently are self contradictory leaders but are master manipulators. While they deny Rohingya’s birth rights but all three of them have become the naturalized citizens of Western countries. There have been anti Rohingya propaganda going on led by them for years. Largely due to their influence, Rohingyas lost their rights, now were not allowed to marry, were not allowed to move from one village to another. International community knowing this ongoing trend very well have tolerated this ongoing oppression. Aye Chan in a book several years ago even identified the Rohingyas as “Influx Viruses.” His and his colleague’s reactions to dehumanize the Rohingyas no doubt were the early signs of present genocide. For a while this intolerance using religious symbols was brewing genuine hatred between the two communities led to mass exodus of Rohingyas to Bangladesh in 1978 and 1991. Gradullay, to escape oppression, about a million Rohingyas left Arakan. There are about a million Rohingyas still live in Arakan. Like the previous massacres, the recent 2012 June machete massacres have all the marks of a religiously motivated racism. This time the xenophobes have also successfully hijacked the Buman group largely through the Rakhine monks in mobilizing the majority Buddhist opinion. Information available to us shows, this attack on the Rohingyas no doubt was centrally planned by Rakhine leaders, evident in the Rakhine distribution of anti Rohingya pamphlet in last May. In addition, see the Rakhine protest signs against Rohingyas, and comments against BBC report, and the online protests by the Rakhines demanding the complete elimination of the Rohingyas people from Arakan. At the same time, check the stab marks on the Rohingya victims, men, women and even children; they all have the mark of religious “Rakhasha knife”; Rakhasha believed to be guarding the land for the Rakhine Mogh people only. No doubt, this is a case of religiously motivated racism now continues with help of security forces, nasaka, and leading up to genocide. If Burmese government and the international community wish to bring genuine democratic reforms and peace in Arakan, the first step for them would be to denounce Rakhine racism in Arakan in clear terms, at the same time return the Rohingyas their legitimate citizenship rights. It is evident in history that Rohingya are not the “foreigners” in Burma. Their citizenship rights were recognized by Aung San, the founding father of Burma and the first democratically elected leader UNu. Rohingya existence in Burma was recorded in history repeatedly and even found by Francis Buchanon as late as in 1799. Rohingyas didn’t settle in Burma after 1824. They are the people of a multiethnic Burma. It is 2012, the matched massacres have widely exposed Burma’s internal bleedings into open wounds. It is about time to stop racism and genocide in Arakan,NOW!!!!!! (Abid Bahar teaches inCanada) written by abid bahar, July 14, 2012
What is Genocide?
Genocide is “a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups, with the aim of annihilating the groups themselves””Genocide means any of the following acts committed with the intent to destroy in whole or in part a national, ethnic, racial or religious group as such For more https://danyawadi.wordpress.com/2012/03/20/၃၅၀။-a-brief-history-of-arakan-from-kingdom-to-a-colony/ a. killing members of the group b. Committing bodily or mental harm to members of the group c. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part, imposing measures intended to prevent birth within the group.(1) What is Rohingya Genocide? Rohingyas original home is in Arakan of Burma. They have been driven out of Burma by the successive military government beginning mainly from 1962. In the same year a total of were 20,000 Rohingyas were pushed out of Arakan to Bangladesh (then East Pakistan). In reaction to this Ayub Khan warned that “Pakistan doesn’t want its army to cross the border into Burma but…” In 1978, over 200,000 Rohingyas were driven out by the government forces. When international agencies in Bangladesh refugee camps checked the refugee’s identity, they were found to carry National Registration Certificate (National Registration certificate). Burmese government at the insistence of international body accepted the refugees. In 1992-93, over 300,000 refugees were forced out of Arakan to Bangladesh, this time the solders at the border made sure that as they leave, Rohingyas don’t carry any documents.Ever since Rohingyas have been crossing the Naf River to enter into Bangladesh. In 2008, there have been 10,000 refugees poured into Bangladesh territory. Now that Hasina government is refusing to accept Rohingya refugees anymore, lately they are crossing the ocean in small boats ( a kind of suicidal, many die on the way) to take shelter in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.(2) Why Rohingyas are desperately leaving Arakan? Rohingya extermination as a state policy began after Ne Win came to power but it turned genocidal when the government introduced some measures so that Rohingyas willingly either leave Arakan or face severe consequences. The UN report of violation on the Rohingyas in 2009 includes measures: Compulsory labor Illegal taxation/ extortion Restriction of movement, Prevent villagers from giving a fair income for their produce Confiscation of land to built villages for Buddhist settlers and for expansion of military facilities. There is also ban on marriage.(3) A typical day in Arakan reported as “Rohingya people in panic in Northern Arakan The report mentions: “The Rohingya people in Northern Arakan have been passing days and nights in panic because of authorities have been seizing weapons (such as knives, choppers, swords, daggers, hoes, adzes, spades) from Rohingya villages while the Rakhine and Natala villegers have been equipped with lethal weapons even with guns since 15 days ago, said a local politician requesting not to be named.”(4) The Parties involved in the genocide Who are the parties directly and indirectly involved? In Burma Rakhine Moghs are only 5% of the population but occupies 30% in the armed forces. It is a force to recon with. This disproportionate distribution of the Rakhine Mogh, both in the Burmese army and their alleged oppression in the ethnic areas especially in Arakan is something important to understand. Reliable sources reports that in Arakan, in the name of Burmese military, Rakhine forces does all the genocidal activities such as rape, forced labor and applying bans on marriage, restricting Rohingyas from traveling from one village to another. The parties directly involved are the Arakanese police and militia, Nasaka and the ultra nationalist hooligans. There are the anti Rohingya provocateurs who work at home and abroad. Prominant among them are Aye Kyaw, Aye Chan, Monk Ashin Nayaka, and many other low level leaders and followers in Arakan and elsewhere. The provocateurs wrote xenophobic books and articles and give speeches some are available on Youtube propagating the the Rohingya people as being “dangerous,” “foreigners” in Arakan, and even “influx viruses,” requiring extermination, warning their fellow countrymen that otherwise they will be exterminated. Considering the depth of their hate mongering actions, and the acts of genocide, it is important to find out more about the people who are directly executing their orders.
