OK, so, the nub of the story is that the Philippines is [still] being ruled by filthy rich family clans, that the Philippines' judicial system is [still] under the influence if not in the pockets of these filthy rich family clans, each of which vie for power and when in power try to maintain it in the most corrupt and insidious ways, at which point they begin to believe that they are above the law -- as Rodrigo Duterte had claimed, overtly and covertly, whilst he and his Death Squads hunted and murdered in cold blood over 10,000 people who were -- or were not -- drug runners, drug peddlers and/or drug users. But Duterte and his Metatheran Metamorphs, i.e. Death Squads, never captured the big fish -- the drug lords, these merchants of death, who sold their deadly merchandize to drug pushers and addicts, even under the noses of Philippines police.
But that's no matter. Duterte was seen as doing the Christian thing of cleansing the country of drug users and drug abuse, much of this amongst lower class Filipinos, whom he saw as the unproductive scourge of the country. So it mattered not that these people were caught or caught and killed in the streets, where they slept, in front of their families, in front of others. It mattered not because Duterte was pretty damn sure he would never be stopped by anyone. And then came Marcos Jr. (a clown and scaredy cat in many respects) and of course the ICC. He saw an opportunity to get Duterte and his corrupt family well away from him and he took it. Well bloody done, I say. Good riddance to garbage like the Dutertes. The jackass was a cold-blooded murderer and if 80% of Filipinos claim to be Christians and throw their weight behind their demigod Duterte, they're even bigger damn fools and deserve the country the have, deserve the politicians they have, deserve the [corrupt] security forces they have, deserve the rich family clans who rule their lives and keep them as economic slaves whilst they enrich themselves by hood and crook.
